Hi Wendy,
Thanks for the info. Will they be applying this timeline to both personal and business pages?
Thanks
Jennie
Hi Jennie,
From what I can gather the Timeline is just going to be applied to the personal Facebook profile. Business pages will stay as they are … for now! I have not heard anything about these changes being enacted for pages.
Wendy
Hello again Wendy,
Have just had a play of the new timeline and quite like it. Have blocked my personal site so that only friends can see personal information. Will the timeline maintain those settings? Or will certain information become public?
Cheers
Hi Jennie,
You can set the various posts on your timeline to be Public or Friends only. I believe the Timeline will maintain the settings that you have. If you have enabled the Subscribe button, just make sure that you keep the private stuff private and check to see what is public. Public posts have a little “globe” symbol next to them. Friends only posts have “people heads” next to them. There is a setting to go back and make sure all your posts are private or public.
