Many people find it convenient sharing their thoughts and experiences on Facebook.
Sometimes, however, you may make a mistake in typing your note or status updates which can cause confusion or misunderstanding.
You may realize this later and wish to update your note. There is actually a way to correct those mistakes without having to delete your post every time. The trick is to create a note instead of typing your message in the status update box.
Through the Notes section, you are allowed to edit and resave your original message.
You can even write longer text here and include a photo if you like.
How to edit a Note
There are several ways to edit your message via the Notes section.
First, you will have to create a note through the Notes tab on your Timeline or profile. Click on it and when brought to the next page, click the Write a Note button on the top right.
Click on it to be directed to the page where you can write your text and the title of your message. Attach a photo if you want.
When you are creating a note, you can choose to save it as draft first to ensure that the message remains there.
This will be helpful if you suddenly experience power outage in your area or if you have an urgent errand to do and you feel the message you wish to share is not yet complete.
By saving it as draft, you can go back to it later to edit what you’ve written or to add some further information.
In case you’ve already published the note but you later found some typing errors, you can still edit it.
Just go back to the note by clicking the Notes tab on your Timeline or profile and click the title of that particular note to view the entire message.
Once there, you will see an Edit button with a pencil icon on the top right of the note.
Click Edit and revise your text.
When you’re done editing, simply click the Save button below the note and the new message will show on your wall.
