Facebook pages are a great tool for business owners and online marketers. They are most beneficial in promoting one’s brand as well as products and services. Additionally, they have proven to be very effective in reaching out to a global target market.

Using a Facebook page for your business has many benefits. Users who don’t have extra time to post updates every day can always schedule when they want their messages, images and videos to go out.

Facebook page owners or their admins can also share articles from authoritative sites by posting links on the status update box. Normally when doing this, the title, a short summary and image of the article are then displayed.

The good news is that if you don’t like the image of the article that shows on your status update, you have the ability to change it into something more related to the post you’re sharing.

How to Change the Image

After putting the article link in the status update box, an image is normally displayed there together with the article’s title and first two sentences.

To change the image, first copy and paste the link of the article you want to share on the status update box on your Facebook business page.

Then click the Upload image link just below the photo that shows up. Next, choose the file you’ve saved on your computer and click open.

Your new image for the article will immediately show on your status update. You can then add a short message on top of your image or above the article you’re sharing in the space that says “Say something about this link…”

When you’re done with that and you’re sure of the image and the writeup you want to share with your followers, hit the Post button to publish it right away. Or if you want to post it later, click the clock icon below the article summary and choose the date and time you want to have it published on your Facebook page. When done, click the Schedule button.

If you change your mind and would like to post a different image, just click the Remove the Image link and upload a new one.

To ensure a cleaner shoutout on your Facebook business page, remove the link you’ve pasted on the status update box so that only your short message is showing there.
