Facebook pages are growing faster than usual. Latest statistics show that 16 million local business pages have been published as of May 2013. This figure is a 100 percent increase from only 8 million in 2012.
Businesses of all sizes are now utilizing Facebook pages as a way to reach their target audience worldwide and engage with them on a regular basis. If you’re a startup or an existing business, it’s about time to consider putting up your own page to be where your prospective customers are hanging out.
Creating a Facebook page is fast and easy as it can easily be linked to your personal account. Those new to creating a Facebook page may find some issues at the start such as the absence of a search bar at the top.
There’s an easy solution to this problem so you should be able to fix it straight away. The answer is to simply add an admin to your page in addition to yourself.
How to Add an Admin
To add an admin, first log in to your Facebook account and go to your page. At the top of the page, click the down arrow beside the Edit Page button.
When the dropdown menu shows, choose the Manage Admin Roles option.
On the next page, type the name or email address of the person you’re going to add as your admin. As you type the name, a list will show so you can click the appropriate one right away and the person’s photo will also instantly show up beside his or her name.
Once you’re done adding the person, click the blue Save button below.
A small box will then show up asking for your password for confirmation purposes. Just type your password in the box and hit the Confirm button below.
Instantly, the search bar will show up on your Facebook page.
