Pinterest remains a top photo sharing site with 72.8 million users to date. Majority or 85 percent of users on the site are female and a large percentage or 47.1 million of users are in the U.S.
But while private individuals are mostly using Pinterest, businesses are not to be left behind. An estimated 500,000 business accounts currently exist on the platform and Nordstrom is the most engaged retail brand.
Sharing photos or pinning images on Pinterest is still an easy task to do. You can do it while logged in to your account or even while browsing websites without logging in to your account.
How to Install the Pinterest Browser Button
To make it easy for you to pin images from anywhere online, you just need to install the Pinterest browser button first. This is the latest update from the previous Pin It button that installs on your tool bar.
To do this, go to the browser button page and click the Get our browser button.
If prompted, click allow to confirm and proceed with the installation.
On the new window that shows, click Install Now to complete the installation.
Now, you’re ready to pin photos you like to share wherever you may be browsing online. Simply click the red P icon at the top of your browser whenever you find something on the web you want to save and share on your Pinterest boards.
How to Turn Off the Pin Button
If, however, you get distracted by the hovering Pin It buttons every time you’re viewing images and you no longer want to them to appear on photos, you can always turn them off.
To turn off the hovering Pin It buttons, click the Firefox menu and select Add-ons.
On the next page, choose Extensions on the left column.
On the new page that shows, click the Options button on the right.
You will then have to check the box for Hide hovering Pin It buttons and restart Firefox to apply the changes.
