SCRIBD seems no longer to be free, as you suggested. The “Install” button is missing from their web site and instead requests multiple levels of information and notification that I will be “contacted” shortly.

I’m afraid it looks so. Seems Involver have got savvy and moved their Scribd for Facebook application down into their paid section of the website.
