You may have noticed that as time goes by, Facebook continues to make changes in the personal profile page.

One of the recent major changes involved the About section which lets users add their current work and other details as well as their education below their profile picture.

In this section, users can include their employer or their own business with a link to their Facebook Business page. In short, you can add your Facebook Business page as an employer via your personal profile.

How to Add your Facebook Business page to your personal profile

To add and display your Facebook Business page as an employer in your personal Facebook profile, you will need to do a few simple steps. You just need to go to your profile page and do some editing.

Here’s what to do:

First, go to your profile page. The quickest way is to click the Edit Profile link on the top left part of your home page beside your thumbnail profile photo.

The other option is to click your name on the top right hand of the home page and then click the About section on the top when you’re already on your profile page. You will then see an Edit button on top of the Work and Education section or a pencil icon on the right part of the About section. Click the button to start editing.

Next, add details to your Education and Work. Click the Edit button and an empty Employer field will show then start typing the name of your page.  Facebook will give you drop down prompts of names to select, one of which should be your page. 

Once you’ve selected the name of your business page, fill out the other fields that will display. These are your position, location, description, time period and year. Click the Add Job button when you’re done. Then click the Done Editing or Finished Editing button on top.

If you need to add more details or change some information in your work section, you may edit it anytime you want. Simply click the Edit button with a pencil icon on top and proceed with adding or changing the details. When you’re finished, click Save Changes button below and the Finished Editing button on top.

Following these steps will now show your Facebook Business Page as your employer. The name will also be a clickable link that directs through to your Facebook Business Page.
