How to Successfully Promote Your Local Business on Facebook

As a powerful marketing tool, Facebook is capable of promoting a business or service to a global audience. It continues to be a preferred marketing platform of companies of all sizes.

But what about if you have a local target market? How can you successfully promote your business offerings or events to gain more customers and reach your sales goals? Here are three simple ways to help you do this.

Boost a Post

On your Facebook business page, it is possible to publish a post or update that will be seen by a large number of people compared to the usual. It is important that your post can easily attract the attention of your local customers. You can include a link to your website if you wish. Adding an attractive photo or graphic image is also a must. You can use a photo that features your storefront, business logo or local view.

Apart from a photo, you can also post a video or a slideshow that will feature several images. They are a good way to share the story of your business and promote your products or services.

From there, you can proceed to “Boost your post” which is covered under the Facebook advertising policies. The “Boost your post” option will provide you with the necessary steps to achieve your objective including the type of audience you want to reach. Depending on the number of people you want to reach, a minimal fee is charged for this function. Your goal here is to increase engagement such as to get more people to read your post, like it, leave comments or message your business page.

Launch a Local Business Promotion

This step is not well known to marketers but is also considered an effective marketing method. Formerly called the local business awareness ad, this option ensures that local businesses reach as many people as possible particularly those who are not likely to respond to posts.

To set up a local business promotion ad, you need to use the Ads Manager or another way is to set it up directly from your business page.

If you use the page, several call-to-action buttons are available to help you gain inquiries and improve sales.
