As YouTube continues to add new features, active users including businesses should find time to learn how they work for their benefit. In addition to the videos you post, it is also best to update your YouTube channel every now and then to ensure that more people visit it and subscribe. Here are several ways to help you in growing your YouTube channel.

Post Videos Several Times Per Week

When you are on YouTube, you need to commit your time to creating great videos. Beyond that, you also need to post not just one but several videos if possible every week. This is the most ideal thing to do particularly if you’re new to this platform.

The goal of posting at least three times in a week is to improve your channel’s search engine optimization (SEO). Also, it will give your audience an opportunity to view more videos in your library and eventually encourage them to subscribe to your channel.

Start Every Video With a Hook or Story

When creating videos, make sure to start it with a captivating hook. This means showing the end result first. This is ideal if you’re doing a DIY tutorial whether it’s a makeup or fashion makeover or even a mechanical project. With this approach, people will be curious as to the process of doing the makeover or project.

Another way to start your video is by providing a story. A personal story, for example, is sure to spark the interest of viewers and encourage them to watch the entire video.

Use Short Titles and Intros

When adding titles and introductions or opening credits, keep them short if possible. Use captivating words and those that create a punch to pique the interest of people. Remember that internet users today have short attention span hence, you don’t want to lose the interest of your visitors.

Add End Screens

Another great way to create videos that will encourage viewers to take action is to add end screens. These end screens are interactive graphics that link to another video, channel or web page and you can use them to promote your own channel, website and other videos. They can be added in the last 20 seconds of a video which means you need to carefully plan what to show there.

Choose Video Thumbnails

With regards to video thumbnails, YouTube allows customization. You can even create your own thumbnails to ensure that viewers click and watch your videos. An important thing to remember is to make your thumbnails relevant to the topic of your video content. Thumbnails serve as teasers and if you’re able to provide an interesting one for a specific video, there’s a good chance that people will click and view it.
